Aguilar, Stephanie Anne G.
Miss Aguilar is a student at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, pursuing a Music Degree in Voice Performance. She was under the tutelage of soprano Rachelle Gerodias, and is currently a student of tenor Lemuel Dela Cruz. She is also a scholar of the entrepreneur-tenor Mr. George T. Yang’s Klassikal Music Foundation.
Miss Aguilar was a prizewinner at the 2014 National Music Competition for Young Artists; also a prizewinner at the 2012 Jovita Fuentes Vocal Competition, and bagged the first place at the 2016 University of Santo Tomas Voice competition. She represented the Philippines at the 9th Seoul International Music Competition, vocal category, held in Seoul, Korea. She appeared in operas staged such as The Medium, Noli Me Tangere, La Boheme, Carmen, Fidelio, and Cavelleria Rusticana.
She recently performed at the Hanoi Opera House in Vietnam for the Philippine-Vietnam friendship day, along with co-winners of the NACMYA. She was one of the soprano soloists in a concert in Japan, entitled Via Nova; and she was also the soprano soloist for Beethoven’s Chorale Fantasia for the 10th anniversary of the Esplanade Theatre in Singapore. She had her solo debut concert by the Manila Chamber Orchestra’s Young Artists’ Series in 2014. She has since then continued to participate in numerous productions and concerts.
Stephanie has participated in masterclasses of La Scala soprano, Elena Monti, Korean soprano, Yae Hin Jan, international Romanian soprano Nelly Miricioiu, international tenor Arthur Espiritu, international tenor Dominque Morales, international tenor Noel Espiritu Velasco and mezzo-soprano Gigi Mitchell Velasco, soprano Katrina Saporsantos, Soprano Zwischenfach Victoria Rapanan, and world-renowned international soprano superstar Sumi-Jo.
